Yes, whether you are a prospective bride/groom who wants to get slim or a health conscious adult crossing the age of 40 who wants to stay fit or a new mom who wants to reduce those extra tires in the mid-region, there is always a dilemma ringing in the mind : that of a beautiful desire to have a fit & healthy physique Vs the temptation to eat whatever you want.
Most of the times, 90% of our favorite food get into the ‘must-avoid’ category and we find ourselves juggling between our will to fight the temptation and the craving to gulp that inviting piece of cheese just one last time !
But what if we could eat whatever we wanted to eat and still achieve our mission of being slim and fit ??!! Sounds too good to be true? Here goes….
There are tons of articles on what to eat and what not to eat in all possible platforms, so let’s not get there. In a series of articles here, we will outline on the when, how, how much and where of the food consumption, which if followed diligently will take care of whatever you eat.
Have you heard of Circadian Clock? In layman terms, It is an internal biological clock that that tells our bodies when to sleep, rise, eat and regulates many physiological processes. So whether we know it, believe it, like it or not , our body operates in this clock only. The primary input for this clock is the sunlight, which is always in rhythm unlike the schedule of our TV serials, IPL Matches, late night conference calls, international timezones etc. So isn’t it wise to follow the body clock, since we can't change it?
Body functions differently at different times of the day. There are some parts of the day when the assimilation energy of the body is at a maximum, which means whatever we eat during this time gets absorbed to the maximum capacity. So, to enable high assimilation of nutrients into the blood stream and hence avoid toxic accumulation, below are the ideal timings for the three meals of the day.

Only liquid beverages like tea, juice or milk can be consumed in between these meals and heavy munching is best avoided.
The most important meal time to be very conscious & punctual upon happens to be the dinner, since the night period from is the time when the body detoxes & prepares itself for the activities of next day. Body does it naturally for us, all we have to do is to allow it to function by eating & sleeping early so that the food is digested on time and the body is rested, allowing the ease of detoxification process.The body can recuperate itself even if we are awake during the detox period once in a while, but habituating to staying up late regularly will stop the detoxification process eventually and may turn out to be the root cause of most of our physical & psychological ailments.
